About Us
In 1978, after reading an article entitled “38 Reasons Buildings Often Fail” Lloyd Reaves, with his years of experience in mobile home manufacturing and sales, realized that wood truss technology could be the solution to all the reasons why buildings fail. After spending many years perfecting the process of applying wood truss technology to other building components, such as wall and roof brace panels and special columns, Lloyd was awarded Patent #4,468,218 for his invention. This tradition of innovation and progress has lead Reaves Building Systems to develop four styles of totally engineered buildings that use this exclusive technology: The Reaves (RB-R), the Modified Reaves (RB-MR), the Silas (RB-S), and the Douglas (RB-D).
Reaves’s innovation is matched only by its quality. Because every component is designed and assembled in-house, Reaves controls every aspect of the manufacturing process. Stringent company standards and unscheduled twice-monthly inspections, assure our customers they are receiving nothing but top-quality building systems. And our highly skilled staff is there to help from the first component to the final finishings. We provide exceptional service, accurate quotes, and on time delivery.

“The shop drawings and subsequent products that were delivered to the job site were of the highest quality. The panels were labeled, organized and easy for the framing subcontractor to handle at the job site.”
— Dan Baxter, Project Manager for The Weitz Company’s Drake West Village Project
