Photo Gallery

Hello! Your new plugin ‘Nivo Slider’ has been activated and filled out with one sample gallery slideshow. If your looking at this in the WordPress back-end area you’ll notice the line below has square brackets around it, this is called a ‘shortcode’ and it allows WordPress to slip in cool features on a page or post without adding a bunch of confusing web jargon. Each slideshow has their own ‘shortcode’ and many can be included on a page (or post), they each need to be on their own line.

Simply copy & paste the ‘shortcode’ from the slideshow when you publish—it should be in the right-hand column of the slideshow edit screen.

Looks like there are some pretty cool built in features here, so feel free to play around with the plugin a bit. I couldn’t resist so I created one more very quickly for you, so once you’re in the Nivo Slider section you can compare & contrast the differences between these two. This slideshow is based on a category in WordPress, so all the awesome organizing we’ve done so far is paying off with easy category created slideshows!

Automotive/Trucking Space
Industrial/Manufacturing Space
Storage Buildings
Airplane Hangars
Community Space
Retail/Office Space

Oh heck, one more won’t hurt will it? The last slideshow here is a list of all the images for a particular post in your website. And if you look closely at the ‘shortcodes’ on this page (while in the WordPress back-end), you’ll notice you can either use the ID of a slideshow or it’s slug or lowercase hyphened name.

Each of these three illustrate the different templates you can use to create slideshows on your site. We can customize pretty much anything so if one of these is close to what you want we may just need to spend some time refining / customizing it to best suit your needs. As you can see two are centered and one is left justified. Feel free to delete all this content and use this page to put your new slideshows (reavesbuildings.com/gallery will be the link). Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to help!

All the best,

Erik @ HenkinSchultz
